I will talk about the story in my own words now kay. So it started when we were told that the brother of the main character, Aoyagi Ritsuka, was dead in a fire. The brother, Seimei was a high school student but surprisingly, he died in an elementary school, on a chair. He was burned to death. Why a high school student appeared in an elementary school? Who killed him and why was he murdered? Ritsuka was in a confused situation during the starting of the story. We were told that his personality had changed completely since 2 years ago, which was the after the death of his elder brother. His mother refused to accept Ritsuka, saying that he is not the Ritsuka she used to know anymore. In one of the episodes, it was revealed that, 2 years before, Ritsuka’s academic performance in school was not good but he was popular among his friends. But after the death of his brother, he had changed into a completely different person. The personality he used to have turned upside down. He scored perfectly in his exams but he became cold and refused to befriend anyone.

In the 1st episode, Ritsuka was a 12-year-old elementary school student. 2 years after the death of Seimei. His mother became insane and gets mad at him easily. After moving to a new school, a guy, Agatsuma Soubi, approached him. He claimed to be the friend of Seimei and he was also an university student by the age of 20 ( wow, 8 years apart huh? XD ) Later on, Ritsuka eventually discovered that Soubi and Seimei used to be a fighting pair, where Soubi was the ‘Fighter‘ and Seimei was the ‘Sacrifice‘. A Fighter fights while the Sacrifice will endure and take all the damage of the Fighter during battles. After Seimei’s death, Ritsuka eventually became the Sacrifice of Soubi, although both of them bear a different name. Fighters and Sacrfices are bond together with 2 persons with the same name. Both Soubi and Seimei bear the same name — Beloved whilst Ritsuka’s was Loveless. The stronger the bond, the stronger the Fighter in battles.

The more acquaitances they made, the more battles they went through, Ritsuka started to figure out the truth on his brother’s death. He got to know about this secret and mysterious organization — "Seven Moons". However, Soubi refused to tell Ritsuka anything about the organization and also about Seimei’s death, saying that he couldn’t do so. Even the enemies they met were unable to tell Ritsuka the truth. Zero was one of the series of enemies they made. The Zero series were unable to feel pain.

Due to the curousity and the determination to find out the truth, Ritsuka started to do his investigation, based on the memo he received from the enemy, with the help of Soubi, who stated that he will for anything for Ritsuka. Everything.

COMMENTS
I knew this is a Shounen-Ai series. In fact, it’s a well-known Shounen-Ai series. Not Yaoi, Shounen-Ai. However, the signal is not strong. To be honest, I can’t see any love between Soubi and Ritsuka. Instead, this series gave me a strong feeling or maybe should I say, shadow of Kuroshitsuji. The master-servant relationship. "All you need to do is to order me" And they got a similarity in the pairing : Matured adult x small brat =.= The uke is an egoism. Tough and determined. The seme , obedient and loyal. Yeah. Another similarity was, the uke tend to refuse the seme at first but in the end, he gave in (>_<) At first, this series gave me this feeling ‘How can a person say ‘I love you’ so easily when they do not have love in them?‘ That was what Soubi did. Appeared suddenly, confessed suddenly, and the 3 words can just slipped out from his mouth so easily =.=

The cat’s ear is cute! (>_<) The ears will only get off when they… *ahem* become adults… *coughs* The songs are nice. In fact, I got the songs before I started watching. The ending theme "Michiyuki" was beautiful and sad . There was this meaningful dialogue from Seimei in the last episode : Let’s see who will win in the end. Your FATE or your DETERMINATION TO LIVE .
